With the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6, the holidays have officially come to a close for those of us who keep to a western calendar.

For those of us who incorporate eastern practices into our lives, we still have the big bang of Chinese New Year to look forward to this January 22 — the year of the black water rabbit.

After all the holiday feasting it was great to get started once again on some yoga here at wonder | wander | world.

The bane of today’s practitioner is yoga’s popularity. As with any current favorite so many have jumped on the band wagon with many eager beavers wanting to improve on a good thing.

This ancient and ageless practice has grown unrecognizable in the zest and zealotry of today’s eager market.

The road to hell is truly paved with good intentions.
