March is Women’s History Month and 2024 commemorates 104 years of the struggle for women’s rights. Celebrating the political, social, economic and cultural achievements of women throughout history.

notable women — Joan of Arc, Virginia Woolf, Cleopatra, Ada King Lovelace, Jackie O, Indira Gandhi

A focal point this 2024 of the movement for women’s rights is “gender equality and empowerment.” This women’s movement that advocates and champions reforms on women’s issues created by inequality. Addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing for women and girls worldwide.

Every woman has a story to tell and gifts to share with the world. I recently celebrated our golden at my alma matter homecoming. Bringing home a central theme here at Change Warrior — the celebration of magnificent women of all ages.

women of substance — Toni Morrison, Barbara Conrad, Rosetta Tharpe, Wangari Maathai, Maya Angelou

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style.” ~ Maya Angelou

Of major significance is the study of the history and growth of woman’s rights throughout recorded history. Covering personal achievements over a period of time — the examination of individual and groups of women of historical impact, and the effect that historical events have had on women.

clan mothers — the decision makers for their people & the ones who inform their chiefs

We need to reclaim these lost stories of women to integrate women’s experiences and perspectives into mainstream narratives. To reconstruct a full, comparative, and complete picture of how women shaped our world throughout humanity’s existence.

After struggling for over a century — what do we have to show for all the effort expended? We acutely hope it does not take as long for us to gain ground.
