finger of God

This is the typical US news headline that causes people all over the world to love hating on Americans. Perpetuating the image of cluelessness sadly all too true of folks that fly by and think they know better.

Good God! What makes America think that just because they leave Afghanistan after 2 weeks of chaos and 20 years of war they purposely created they can announce the war is over and it will be so?

Not by a long shot buddy!

idiotic news coverage

This is the type of deluded thinking that gets the US in trouble every time. Do you honestly think you can open this can of worms — then after twenty years of continued and escalating horror simply walk away — with no consequences?

All our accumulated dead are turning in their graves — marked and unmarked. How dare you!

Surely even the dumbest head honcho calling the shots around here knows better? If they don’t or are in denial — then America is truly in deep doo doo.

Every American owes it to themselves to not ever think they can throw a wrench in this hornet’s nest and be exempt from the death and destruction so willfully wielded all these years.

Just because we had the budget, technology, and backing — this was not a show of strength. This was a petty display of misguided hubris* — one with generations of terror and trauma in its wake.

It is what makes us — watchers on the sidelines, who have all been sidelined — so spitting mad and rage filled. We wanted none of this, it was imposed on all of us — for too many terrible years, at such a horrendous toll.

Now you declare it ended? You have no idea what you have set in motion here. God damn you!

We are all affected by this hell of our own creation — now and forever more.

*Hubris, from Ancient Greece — English picked up both the concept of hubris and the term for that particular brand of cockiness from the ancient Greeks, who considered hubris a dangerous character flaw capable of provoking the wrath of the gods. ~ Merriam-Webster Dictionary
